While we had several long back and forth conversations via fax (and I got the impression she really hated the phone), I only met April Derleth one time - when she was a Special Guest of World Fantasy.
She was a fun person who really cared about the books she was publishing, and the health and development of her company. I'm sad to learn she's gone.
