I am still best known as the proprietor of The Stars Our Destination, a science fiction specialty store in the Chicago area from 1988 to 2004.
In the '70s and '80s I was very active in running science fiction conventions. I worked in the Main Control Room at FermiLab from 1984 to 1988. I designed prototype optical test bed equipment at Tropel from 1982 to 1984. I've had a whole bucket full of different jobs since closing the bookstore in 2004, including working at DreamHaven Books in Minneapolis from 2015 to 2017.

Currently I live on Vashon Island, just south and west of Seattle WA, and I'm still working out what to do when I grow up.
