I'm on my last couple of days here at DreamHaven and yesterday's victory was talking Greg into letting me create a FaceBook Page for the shop.

I quite understand his reluctance - he already has far too many tasks to juggle, and I'm not going to be here to make the timely, substantive posts that would do the most good.

But my position is that something is better than nothing, and I'll post as I learn of new things going on. I'm also saving up a bunch of short article-like posts to let the outside world know more about the vast selection the shop typically offers.

So if you're on FaceBook, please check out DreamHaven's Wall, give it a Like (unless you don't Like it!), and consider posting a question, request or something about your experiences with the shop.

I'm glad to have another Like, as there really are people that judge based on how high that number gets. And yet, I wonder at your using at all a system that you loathe. It is, in most cases, not mandatory.

I use FaceBook more than I might because there are a fair number of people that I like to stay in touch with that don't use anything else (not even email!). And it HAS been useful for reminding folks when a new Girl Genius page goes up.

I know there's people who like it, and people who love it, and people addicted to those games, but I leave it to them. I'm fine w/ e-mail, LJ and Plurk for the very most part.

I also find that something is usually better than nothing. I very rarely make posts just on Facebook -- mostly it is a place to pipe content from other places where I post, such as LiveJournal. But FB is still a very useful networking place for me.
