Shorter. Because one might actually post some, rather than waiting for time to complete the grand, rambling essay.

I tend to write long rambling con reports when I'm disconnected -- or perhaps even when I'm not disconnected since I think a couple of my daily reports from ComicCon were several pages long. But that probably isn't the best choice.

Long rambling con reports are the best thing to read, among the options Alice offered. And some great fannish writing has been done in LRCRs. But short bursts are less work.

Also, if one stops writing after a few short reports, readers have at least something to read. If one stops writing two-thirds of the way into a LRCR, readers get nothing.

Don't forget another option: Reflect on how circumstances have somehow turned us all into unpaid working journalists, throw up your hands in despair, and worry about it tomorrow. Oh, wait, that's my plan of action. You're welcome to it, but I can't exactly recommend it. May you have safe travels and fast wireless.
