We obtained a home improvement loan to handle the expenses. But other than plugging in one of the UPS units and replacing the original toilets with ManicFLUSH[tm] PrejudiceExtreme units, Nuh uh. We have plans for at least one, possibly two, high efficiency wood burning stoves, plans for an LP tank/power generator, and desires for an LP tankless water heater. There are remote desires for a LP-based stove (the current one is electric). We also want to pry up the carpet in half the family room and put down a tile floor so that we can have a warm place to be messy. We have been accessorizing, paying for non-home improvement things, instead of spending more money from the loan account. I think one problem might be the incredible dearth of local businesses that can smell a sale a league away. People here don't seem to be very persistent.
