Every now and then I run into something that makes me sad, but I'm glad I saw it.

I've played Animal Crossing quite a bit, so all the references are familiar to me. But I get the impression that the story comes through just fine without that.

Dang, Alice, that *is* pretty sad. Bummer! Sigh. Next time I'll just take your word for it.... FWIW, though, I don't think it's a great idea to look at sad stuff on a holiday weekend when you're like a million miles away from family & friends. l mean, really... don't do that to yourself! (She writes, even as she keeps one eye on a remote camera image positioned 50 miles down the road....)

Oh that made both me and Fran cry, although that's not always a bad thing. What got to me was when the animal characters in the game started asking about mom; for some reason that really made me tear up. Thanks for sharing.
