In about half an hour, I leave for my first day at a new job. It's only part time, fill in work (rural mail delivery) but it will be my first time as a wage earnin' regularly employed type person since 1988. Kinda cool.

Being a self employed small business owner did have it's perks - why, I could work any hours I wanted! (as long as it was all of them) And instead of having one or two people above you who tell you what to do, you have complete freedom to try to figure out how to juggle all the tasks needed to meet the needs of several hundred people!

No, I don't miss any of those parts at all.

I do miss the daily interaction with people, making new friends and getting to know old ones better. Just another reason why I', looking forward to today!
