On a Clear Disk...

A week ago Thursday something happened that's familiar to many of you, but completely new to me. My laptop refused to respond and, when cycled, could not boot.

A trip to the Genius Bar at the Applpe Store later and it was off to Laptop Hospital.

Now it's back with a brand new, squeeky clean hard drive, and I get to run around reinstalling all my favorite programs. Sigh.

In more cheerful news, two good friends of mine and yours have signed on to LJ: kajafoglio and philfoglio. Kaja wonders whether there's a way to post here without having to type in html by hand, and I haven't a clue.

Say hello! Let them know why we hang out here!

And I'll try to do a bit more hanging out than I have.

Downloading a helper aplication such as "Semagic" does wonders for posting to LJ. I'm a long time computer geek, so doing it by hand isn't really a problem, but I'm just as happy to not have to do it! Lots of clients are available here (http://www.livejournal.com/download/).
