I hadn't even considered the Executive MBA when I was looking at schools, because the deadline for application was April 1st. So I was quite surprised when the admissions office called and recommended that I apply for that one rather than the regular MBA program.

Even since I've wondered just a bit if the Executive MBA is like the Science for Artists version of an MBA...

Probably not, since just going by stats, the Exec MBAs tend to make more money after school. In any case I think I'll prefer the cohort system the EMBA uses (students are considered as a group, everyone progresses through the same classes together) to the rolling enrollment that the regular MBA has (join in any quarter, drop out for a while if convenient).

I'm about equal measures excited and anxious.
