Stem Cell Research
May. 17th, 2009 10:52 amNeil Gaiman tweets about a public commentary period on stem cell research, and how it is currently overwhelmed with church-organized protesters. He links to this document which provides an overview of the situation, the players, and what individuals might do about it.
Stem cell research is one of those many branches of science that I've never looked into myself. My ignorance on the topic is nigh complete. But I trust the many people I know who *do* learn about it that this is an important branch of investigation, and needs to be open to research.

The deadline for comments is May 26th, and right now the commentary is running 99% against any research being allowed.
