You do something enough times and you switch from delighted anticipation to comfortable familiarity. Enough more times, and you hit boredom and restlessness. Where is that line for "enough"? Varies wildly from one to another, I guess. "Comfortable familiarity" makes it a little easier to not go and not be bereft about it.
